Stoke City are up to third in the Championship and only behind Birmingham in the automatic promotion spots on goal difference after a 2-1 win at Blackburn. Potters boss Mark Robins told BBC Radio Stoke: "Huge win and I think we made a meal of it to be fair. We didn't have comfortable possession of the ball. "They go man for man all over the pitch and they try and put us off. You've got a situation where they've just lost away 4-0 and they've got to try and come back here and overturn that. "They had energy. We had energy but we've just given the ball away too easily and you end up running further than when you keep possession. "But even so, we managed to have enough of the ball to create bits and pieces. But it was only bits and pieces. "We got away with it because we didn't do enough with the ball. We've got the talent in the squad to do so. "It's a hard-fought win and a brilliant one nonetheless." On Jack McGlynn's excellent free-kick for the opener: "To execute something like that was absolutely phenomenal."
